Walk
on through into the atmospheric courtyard with Egyptian styled breakfast
terrace. Sit on traditional dikkas taking a long cool drink; soak
up your view of the pretty gardens; a riot of colourful native shrubs. Enter
the atrium which reaches up to the windowed dome, with balconied walkways
to your bedrooms.
The focal point of the atrium is the 15mtr dome, lit by an Islamic
design glass tiered chandelier. Such a dome with inlaid star is a beautiful
example of how Egyptian brick is used to create a work of art. Craftsmen
with all the traditional building skills needed to build the dome were brought from Edfu.
